65-year-old Surendra Narang, NIT-5 resident, was stuck in the lift of the Neelam Chowk Ajronda Metro station on Friday morning. Emergency call from inside the elevator was also not heard for a long time and finally an employee at the station took him out after about 20 minutes. Surendra Narang’s breath was stuck during this period. He was praying to God that he comes out safe.
Businessmen Surendra Narang travels from the metro to Shishganj Gurdwara at Chandni Chowk everyday. At 5 a.m. on Friday morning, they came out of the house to go to the gurus. At 5.35 pm, he reached the Sapphire Ajrada Metro Station. To get to the station, they boarded lift number five. The elevator rose up a little and fell downstream. Surendra Narang was horrified by this. They started pressing the buttons in it to come out but the elevator doors did not open. He immediately called on the emergency numbers written in his lift from his mobile.
From there there was a response that they would be assisted in a little while. They were not satisfied with this. He pressed the emergency button inside the lift, then he was talking to a man named Yogendra on the station. Yogendra tied him up and immediately reached the elevator.
